OYR (Own Your Real) is an emerging arts community that celebrates artists who always leave a little bit of themselves on the dance floor. These artists are selected by Jhia Jackson for their talent and style, but mostly because they are fierce, caring, & multidimensional life-long learners that are giving back to their communities, tending to their friendships, and challenging others to grow as well. Essentially, I like and admire them so you probably will too. Meet the collaborators below!

Allegra Bautista, a San Francisco native, graduated from Saint Mary's College of California with a double major in Dance and Liberal & Civic Studies. She was classically trained at San Francisco Ballet and City Ballet School as well as from the S.F. Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division for classical guitar. She has worked with Garrett + Moulton Productions, Amy Seiwert, RAWdance and Sidra Bell. She currently dances with Kristin Damrow & Company. She is a certified yoga instructor and loves catching the sunsets at the beach.
Lydia Clinton is a Bay Area native where she studied dance at Grace Dance Academy under the tutelage of Jen Daugavietis and attended the LINES Ballet Summer Program performing works by Alonzo King and Kara Davis. After graduating high school, she went to Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA to pursue a BA in Dance with a concentration in Modern Dance under the direction of Susan Stowe and Rubén Graciani. At Point Park, she studied under Judith Leifer-Bentz, Garfield Lemonius, and Jason McDole, while dancing in works by Keisha Lalama, Shana Simmons, and Kellie Hodges. During college, she also attended the American Dance Festival on scholarship and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, performing in pieces by Ohad Naharin, Alex Ketley, and Robert Moses. Since moving back to the Bay Area, Lydia has worked with Stephan Koplowitz and Axis Dance Company, Claudine Naganuma (dNaga Dance), Joe Landini (SAFEhouse Arts), and Sarah Berges Dance. Lydia has never been able to sit still her whole life. If she isn't dancing, she is enjoying hiking the hills behind her house, weightlifting, or exploring new places on foot.
A native of Mercer Island, Washington, Suzy Myre received her BA in Dance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. In LA, she performed professionally with such choreographers as Tina Landon, Jason Myhre and Damon Rago. After relocating to the bay, Suzy continued to further her performance career working with many talented artists including Printz Dance Project, RAWdance, Binki Danz, Nhan Ho Project, Katerina Wong and Rarified Bear. Along with performing, Suzy has a deep love of choreography and is a founding member of the SF based company, Project Tremolo. She has had the privilege to present her work all over the west coast at theaters including ODC, Z-Space, Strub Theater, PianoFight, CounterPULSE, 8th Street Studios, Erickson Theater, The Garage and SAFEhouse Arts. Suzy is also on faculty at Alonzo King Lines Dance Center and Roco Dance in Marin. In her spare time she can be found causing a ruckus with her fiancé and/or reading classic english literature. But mostly, she loves the Seattle Seahawks.
